ARRESTED: 27-year-old Milwaukee man in jail, accused of delivering heroin to undercover officer
WASHINGTON COUNTY (WITI) -- Washington County Sheriff's officials say a 27-year-old Milwaukee man is in jail, accused of delivering heroin to an undercover officer with the Washington County Multi-jurisdictional Drug Unit.
Sheriff's officials say the drug transaction occurred in Germantown.
Following the transaction, the suspect was able to flee the scene -- nearly striking police who were attempting to take him into custody.
A brief high-speed pursuit ensued on Highway 41, but that chase was terminated by police.
Unmarked squad cars were able to see the suspect vehicle and followed it into a parking lot on W. Silver Spring Drive in Milwaukee. The suspect fled the vehicle -- running into a store with officers in pursuit.
Sheriff's officials say the suspect was apprehended while trying to hide in a storage room at the store.
The Washington County Sheriff’s office was assisted by the Germantown Police Department, the Milwaukee Police Department and the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office.
