Arrested: Milwaukee man accused of supplying heroin/cocaine that contributed to overdose death

MEQUON (WITI) -- U.S. Marshals have arrested a 26-year-old Milwaukee man in connection with the overdose death of a 30-year-old woman that occurred on Lake Shore Drive in Mequon back in July of 2014.

The 30-year-old woman was found dead inside a home on Lake Shore Drive on July 4th, just after 7:00 a.m.

Mequon police, with assistance from the Ozaukee County Anti-Drug Task Force and other law enforcement agencies conducted an investigation into the circumstances of the woman's death, and identified a suspect.

The woman's cause of death was determined to be acute drug intoxication.

In mid-March, an arrest warrant was issued for the suspect in this case -- a 26-year-old Milwaukee man. He is accused of supplying the woman with the heroin and cocaine that led to her death.

The suspect was located by U.S. Marshals on April 9th, 2015 at a home in the 3400 block of N. 14th Street in Milwaukee. He was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into jail by Mequon police on a charge of first degree reckless homicide.

He is currently in custody at the Ozaukee County Jail on this charge and a probation hold.
