ARRESTED: Sheboygan man in custody in connection with Subway armed robbery

SHEBOYGAN (WITI) -- Sheboygan police say a suspect is in custody in connection with an armed robbery at a Subway restaurant.

The Sheboygan Police Department received a report of an armed robbery at the Subway restaurant at 2733 Calumet Drive on Sunday, January 11th.

According to police, a masked man entered the store, displayed a gun and left with an undetermined amount of cash.

Officers immediately responded to the area and were able to track the subject to a nearby apartment complex. The investigation led to a search warrant, which was executed in the 2300 block of Park Place. That's where a 30-year-old Sheboygan man was taken into custody.

He will be charged with armed robbery and taken to the Sheboygan County Detention Center.
