Attempted child enticement in Greenfield was all a "misunderstanding"

GREENFIELD -- The Greenfield Police Department say a report of an attempted child enticement near 35th and Howard was all a "misunderstanding."

Police first posted on Facebook Friday morning, October 9th that a man allegedly attempted to lure a young girl into his vehicle on Thursday afternoon.

Greenfield police said in a Facebook post they have since located the subject and interviewed him extensively. Their post said "there was clearly a misunderstanding and the subject did not have any ill intent."
