Badgers fans take in Packers/Lions game in California
PASADENA -- The Wisconsin Badgers take on the Oregon Ducks Monday in the Rose Bowl game in Pasadena, California, but Sunday, it was all about the Packers as they took on the Lions. FOX6's Brad Hicks is in California for the Rose Bowl game, and he talked with some Badgers' fans taking in the Packers/Lions game early Sunday afternoon.
Busby's Bar on Santa Monica Boulevard was filled with those donning Packers jerseys Sunday, as some Badgers fans were eager to sit back and enjoy the game, as the Packers took on the Detroit Lions for the last game of the regular season. "We came up here to have a good time. I've never been more proud to be from Wisconsin, ever!" one fan said.
At Busby's, there was an even mix of red and white for the Badgers, and green and gold for the Packers Sunday. But even in a Wisconsin-friendly "Badgers Bar," fans have their favorite. "I'm here more for the Badgers," one fan said. "I'd like to go to the Super Bowl for the Packers, over the Rose Bowl," another fan said.
As they watched the Packers become 15-1 after their 45-41 win over Detroit Sunday, Badgers' fans say they've heard the prognosticators saying the Badgers are an underdog, and they're not buying it! "We have two of the best players in NCAA football. I think they're going to win by 14," one fan said.
The Badgers will take on the Oregon Ducks Monday at 3:45 p.m., and FOX6's Brad Hicks and Jen Lada will be reporting from Pasadena all day! "Like" Brad Hicks on Facebook, and "follow" him on Twitter for the latest updates!
