"It's kind of a tradition for us," said Tina Quealy, the museum's CEO. "It falls in line with our mission of providing a fun and exciting place for folks with little kids to go and celebrate and just play together."

Confetti and a juice toast accompanied a giant beach ball drop at noon. A beach ball dance bash featured music from DJ Shawna.

The event also offered face paint and airbrush tattoos, and kids could make their own noisemakers and party hats.
