Boats search Lower Nashotah Lake
WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. - A 66-year-old Waukesha man was found dead in Lower Nashotah Lake on Wednesday night, Aug. 18, the Summit Police Department said.
According to police, officers were sent to a location on the lake for a welfare check. The person who reported the welfare check said a fishing boat was anchored in the water about 100 yards from shore, but no one was on board.
Investigation revealed the boat and been in the water, unoccupied, since early Wednesday morning.

Personnel from the Western Lakes Fire District and Lake Country Fire Department were called to the lake to check for the man, who was found dead near the boat in about 10 feet of water by rescue divers.
The Waukesha County Medical Examiner's Office and Summit police are investigating the incident.
