Brewers fans looking forward to Ryan Braun apology

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Sources close to Ryan Braun have said the suspended Brewers left fielder will soon issue an apology, however neither Braun nor the Brewers have given any indication when, or if, this will happen.

Some are expecting the apology as early as Monday.

Teammates seem to have moved past the issue, knowing it's not completely over until Braun speaks. Fans, on the other hand, have strong opinions as to what they believe Braun needs to say and do to rectify the situation.

"I'm disappointed in Ryan Braun and I'm not going to wear his jersey any time soon," said Ray Domnick. "I think he should just come out and say that he did it."

"He blatantly lied the first time he was out here -- let a lot of people down, a lot of children down -- so I'd like to hear him admit what he's done and then say that he's wholeheartedly sorry," said Steve McCarroll.

Before the 2012 season, Braun issued a stern statement denying that he ever used performance enhancing drugs, but agreeing to a 65-game suspension this season, fans felt betrayed.

"I just want him to come clean, you know, just be apologetic," said Thomas Orosco.

Braun has yet to publicly address the suspension or his mistakes, however he spoke privately with his team when the punishment was handed down.

"I mean, what do you say? What he said in here was sufficient for me," said Brewers pitcher Yovani Gallardo.

"If he wants to apologize, great. If not, then I'm not going to force him to say anything he doesn't want to say," said Brewers pitcher Marco Estrada.

Some fans believe Braun owes them more than just an apology.

"I think he should take questions," McCarroll said. "I think he needs to."

Other fans say they are willing to forgive Braun as long as he apologizes and proves that he can still play as a clean player.
