Brickworld is back at State Fair Park

WEST ALLIS, Wis. - Brickworld returned to Milwaukee—getting dozens of people to use their imagination. The LEGO exposition took place this weekend at Wisconsin State Fair Park.

If you thought LEGOs were just a bunch of small bricks for kids – you’re wrong.

"Artists, engineers, architects, they can do anything they want with LEGO because the possibilities are endless," said Mark Larson, chief brick officer.

And Brickworld is where those potential careers can start.

"It can open up your imagination to the world," said Jacob Wagner.

"It's fun to build with, and you can do anything with it!" said Ryan Straatsma.

"You can build anything with them. You can build whatever you want," said Elli Croll.

From the great ball contraption…

"It’s a series of small LEGO  machines that pass LEGO  soccer balls from one end of the modules to the next. It's inspiring. It’s mesmerizing, especially for aspiring engineers," said Larson.

To dozens of intricate builds…

"It’s like, a dream here. It's really cool, and if you love LEGOs, ya know," said Kingston Strack.

"Just come here, it’s a dream come true!" said Gunner Shasten.

There’s something for everyone.

"We want to inspire kids of all ages that feel like they’ve never had the opportunity to explore that artistic side, and there’s such great opportunity to do that with LEGO," said Larson.

Organizers hope that the era of postponing and rescheduling the exposition is over, and they can now make April the consistent month that they will have Brickworld return to Milwaukee every year.
