Brookfield robbery at Burlington; pepper spray used by suspect

Brookfield police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate two people associated with a robbery at the Burlington on W. Capitol Drive.

What we know:

Brookfield officers were dispatched to the Burlington stores around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7 for an armed robbery. 

Officials said during the course of the robbery, two men were seen entering the store. The first one was wearing a multi-colored, striped sweatshirt and blue jeans. The second suspect entered directly behind the first suspect, wearing black joggers and a gray zip-up sweater with a beige hat. 

The man in the multi-colored, striped sweatshirt is seen taking multiple coats off of hangers within the store. He then left the Burlington with the coats – and sprayed the loss prevention officer in the face with pepper spray.

The suspect is seen getting into a white 2024 Chrysler Pacifica bearing Wisconsin license AFY-8022

Roughly eight minutes later, the suspect in the beige hat is also seen exiting the store and getting into the Chrysler Pacifica. The vehicle leaves eastbound through the parking lots and exits onto 124th Street near Capitol Drive. 

Officials say the total amount of merchandise taken was valued at $377.94.
