Stolen vehicle found in Raising Cane's drive-thru in Brookfield
BROOKFIELD, Wis. - Brookfield police located a stolen vehicle in the Raising Cane's drive-thru on Capitol Drive on Wednesday, Jan. 8. Four people were inside the stolen vehicle – including a 16-year-old girl who was reported missing from Milwaukee.
What we know
According to police, around 8:25 p.m. that day, officers received an alert regarding a stolen vehicle in the drive-thru at Raising Cane's. When police arrived at the scene, the driver of the stolen vehicle attempted to flee by reversing into an uninvolved citizen's vehicle and then into a squad car.
Police say this forced officers to forcefully remove and detain three of the four occupants, including the driver. The fourth subject, who fled on foot, was located nearby shortly after and taken into custody.
Officials say the driver actively resisted arrest, resulting in the deployment of a taser.
Police arrested a 21-year-old man, a 22-year-old man, a 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl, who are all residents of Milwaukee.
Officials say the 16-year-old girl was reported missing from Milwaukee and was turned over to a parent after being referred to juvenile intake authorities.
An officer sustained a minor injury during the arrest but did not require medical attention.
The investigation into the incident recovered the stolen vehicle, an AK-47-style firearm, stolen property and numerous narcotics.

The City of Brookfield Police Department is referring various charges to the district attorney’s office.
The 21-year-old man was referred on charges of possession of fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute THC, operate a motor vehicle without owner’s consent (OMVWOC), felon in possession of a firearm, resisting/obstructing, possession of stolen property, bail jumping (felony), threats to law enforcement, threats to EMS, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The 22-year-old male was referred on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute heroin, felony possession of THC, resisting/obstructing, and passenger OMVWOC.
The 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl were referred as passengers of OMVWOC.
