Brown Deer man arrested, accused of receiving 18+ pounds of high-grade marijuana

RACINE COUNTY -- A 45-year-old Brown Deer man has been charged on Friday, September 25th with conspiracy to possess marijuana with intent to deliver. The accused is Cory Thompson.

Agents from the Racine County Metro Drug Unit arrested Thompson around 1:40 p.m.  on Thursday, September 24th. They say he was attempting to receive over 18 pounds of high-grade marijuana that was being shipped here from California in a vehicle being transported by semi-tractor trailer.

Thompson was arrested in Racine County when he went to take delivery of the vehicle. He is being held at the Racine County Jail -- and his initial bond is set at $50,000.

Officials say this case was a collaborative effort between several police agencies to include the Nebraska State Patrol and the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigations.
