Busted: 2 young woman accused in attempted armed robbery at BP in Racine Co. arrested
RACINE COUNTY -- Officials with the Racine County Sheriff's Office say two young women have been taken into custody in connection with an attempted armed robbery at the BP gas station in the Town of Norway which happened on September 29th.
The suspects are a 17-year-old girl and a 21-year-old woman. They were arrested on October 5th at their homes.
Both young women are being held at the Racine County Jail on numerous felony charges.
The attempted armed robbery happened around 7:45 p.m. on S. Loomis Road near Long Lake Road.
Upon the arrival of deputies, the suspects had already fled the scene.
Investigators learned two females entered the store and attempted to steal money from the cash register while using a knife. The suspects were unsuccessful in their robbery and did not get any money or property.
Nobody was hurt.
