RACINE (WITI) -- Racine police are seeking information following two weekend robberies involving businesses -- one a hardware store and the other a restaurant.
The first incident occurred on Friday evening, January 9th, shortly after 7:00 p.m.
Police were called out to the Douglas Hardware store on Douglas Avenue -- where they learned a male suspect had entered the store, producing a weapon and demanding money from the clerk.
The clerk gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash, and the suspect fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a black man, standing 6'2" tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a puffy black coat.
The second incident occurred on Sunday evening, January 11th, shortly after 7:00 p.m.
Police were called out to the Taqueria Arandas Restaurant in the 1500 block of Prospect Street -- where they learned two male suspects had entered the restaurant, both displaying hand guns while demanding money from the register.
They were able to get away with an undetermined amount of cash -- fleeing the scene on foot.
One suspect is described as a male, standing 5'6" to 5'8" tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing a bandana over his face to conceal his identity.
The other suspect is described as an African-American male, standing 5'7" tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing a mask over his face to conceal his identity.
