MILWAUKEE -- Wisconsin voters take to the polls Tuesday, June 5th in the historic recall elections and this weekend, volunteers stepped up in a big way across Wisconsin.

The action at campaign headquarters is non-stop, as volunteers supporting both Governor Scott Walker and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett continue to pile in, in advance of Tuesday's election.

"I'm here all the way until 8:00 on Tuesday.  All day, every day," Nicole Rostollan, a volunteer for Barrett's campaign said.

After traveling from Hudson to Green Bay, Governor Walker ended Saturday, June 2nd in his own city of Wauwatosa.

Barrett spent the day campaigning in the western half of the state, meeting with voters from Superior to Chippewa Falls.

It was also a jam-packed Saturday for Lietenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and her opponent Mahlon Mitchell.  Klefisch rallied with Tea Party supporters in Caledonia.

"The intensity among folks in our electorate in Wisconsin is electric," Kleefisch said.

Mitchell, a firefighter and union president, toured a foundation in Milwaukee that helps fire victims get back on their feet.

"The rest of our time has to be spent here in Milwaukee for the next three days.  I think it's crucial to get out the vote," Mitchell said.

Both parties say it all comes down to the passion of volunteers on the ground.

"Working with these people is wonderful.  They're very committed," Kathy Setter, a volunteer for Walker's campaign said.

The campaigning for governor will continue on Sunday, June 3rd.  Both Walker and Barrett will start their day at the same dairy breakfast in Brown County, before heading off in different directions across the state.
