“Car Craft Summer Nationals,” one of the largest car shows in the country, returns to State Fair Park
WEST ALLIS -- Whether you're into souped-up hot rods or good old America muscle -- you'll find it all in Milwaukee this weekend. For the second year in a row, Milwaukee is hosting one of the biggest auto shows in the Midwest — the Car Craft Summer Nationals.
"Oh it's really cool because you see cars you never, ever see around the area," said John Wargo, The Custom Shop.

More than 3,000 cars and 20,000 car enthusiasts are expected to pack the parking lots through Sunday.
"I'm from the Midwest so I know there's passionate, passionate car enthusiasts throughout this whole area." said John McGann, Car Craft editor.

All these cars are great to look at, but you want to see them in action too. And you can do that all weekend long thanks to their speed stops, a drifting exhibition and races around the autocross track.
"You can see them actually pushed to their limits in terms of handling and braking. A lot of people put a lot of work into their cars and want to be able to use them, or to show them off, or say 'look I just beat this other guy on the autocross,'" said McGann.

It's friendly competition though, and open to anyone, even non-gear heads, for just a $15 ticket.
"A slice of Americana. Car culture is a big part of American culture," said McGann.
