Fatal Milwaukee crash involving MCTS bus; 1 dead

A crash in Milwaukee involving an MCTS bus left one person dead on Saturday, Dec. 21. It happened at approximately 12:35 a.m. near Locust Street and Oakland Avenue. 

According to police, the preliminary investigation shows a 37-year-old driver entered the intersection at a high rate of speed and crashed into the bus. Officials say the county bus had the right of way.  

The driver of the car that struck the bus died as a result of injures sustained in the accident.
