Car fire leads to major backups on I-43 SB near Brown Deer Road during morning commute

MILWAUKEE -- A car fire led to major backups for drivers Thursday morning, July 9th on I-43 southbound near Brown Deer Road.

We're told the car went off the road, and ended up in a wooded area, and it started on fire.

Only one lane of traffic was allowed through as firefighters respondd to the scene.

Traffic was backed up for miles.
