Car stolen with children still inside
A person was arrested for stealing a car with two young children still inside on Sunday, Feb. 4, Oak Creek police said.
OAK CREEK, Wis. - A person was arrested for stealing a car with two young children still inside on Sunday, Feb. 4, Oak Creek police said.
Police said they were called shortly before 11:30 a.m. for a report of a stolen vehicle at the Kwik Trip near 27th and College. When the officers arrived, it was discovered the victim’s car was stolen with their two children, ages four months and eight years old, still inside.
The father of the two children was there to clean his car.

In the 911 call, he can be heard telling the dispatcher he pulled over to finish driving the SUV. When he did, someone asked him for directions.
While he was distracted, another person stole the SUV.
The man called his wife to break the news.
Kwik Trip near 27th and College
"Just try to keep it together for a second," he can be heard saying to her. "Please, please breathe, okay? We gotta focus for a minute."
He had his wife use Find My iPhone to track his device, still inside the SUV.
Police found the SUV about a mile away, near 26th and Grange, and the children were unharmed. But the thief was gone.
