Cardinal Dolan celebrates Mass of Thanksgiving at Holy Hill



HUBERTUS -- Cardinal Timothy Dolan celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving at Holy Hill on Saturday, April 28th. It was Dolan's first visit to Wisconsin since being elevated to Cardinal earlier this year.

Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome Listecki had the honor of introducing Cardinal Dolan to those who gathered for the Mass of Thanksgiving. Watch his statement just below.



In his homily, Cardinal Dolan recognized all of the clergy who helped organize his Mass of Thanksgiving. He also recognized Gov. Scott Walker, Rep. Paul Ryan, Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, and even made a reference to NFL quarterback Tim Tebow. Watch the homily in the video just below.



In closing, Cardinal Dolan thanked the thousands of people who welcomed him to Holy Hill. He expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support and love. Cardinal Dolan spent seven years as Milwaukee’s Archbishop. He left in 2009 to become the Archbishop of New York. Dolan is remembered as a larger-than-life personality who was approachable.
