Charged: 17-year-old Muskego boy accused of sexually assaulting 15-year-old girl at underage drinking party
RACINE COUNTY (WITI) -- A Muskego man has been criminally charged, accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl at an underage drinking party.
17-year-old Bryon Hrin of Muskego is charged with second degree sexual assault of a child under 16, and second degree sexual assault.
A criminal complaint filed against Hrin says police spoke with a man who reported that his 15-year-old stepdaughter was possibly sexually assaulted by two males while at a party on January 9th into January 10th. The girl's stepfather told police he saw messages on the girl's cell phone that suggested she had been a victim of a sexual assault.
A medical examination was performed on the girl at Children's Hospital, and it was found that the girl was sexually assaulted. The girl identified two possible suspects -- Hrin and a 15-year-old boy.
The girl told police on January 9th, numerous Muskego High School students met at an Aldi's store in Muskego. They then drove to an underage drinking party.
The complaint indicates the girl became extremely intoxicated, and she began vomiting. The girl told police she recalled being in the bathroom with the 15-year-old boy at one point in the evening, but she admitted that she didn't remember large portions of the night. She told police she woke up the next morning naked, lying next to Hrin.
Unaware of what happened, the girl began exchanging text messages with the 15-year-old boy -- and in one of them, the 15-year-old responded by saying: "I think I actually took your virginity if it makes you feel better," according to the complaint.
The girl told police she began receiving messages from several people at school regarding the party -- and she learned the 15-year-old boy may have sold her for sex to Hrin for $15.
Police were able to learn that the underage drinking party occurred on County Highway G in the Town of Raymond. Police executed a search warrant at the home where the party occurred, and collected evidence from the home.
Police spoke with the individual who drove the 15-year-old girl to the party. He told police most of the drinking was going on in the basement -- telling police there was beer and Smirnoff. That individual told police the 15-year-old girl was drinking a lot, and "flirting" with the 15-year-old boy. This individual told police he observed the 15-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy in a bedroom at one point during the night. Eventually, this individual says the 15-year-old boy came out of the bedroom, and Hrin went in.
The complaint indicates this individual who drove the girl to the party went into the bedroom because he "freaked out" over the age difference between the 15-year-old girl and 17-year-old Hrin. He says he told Hrin "you're going to regret this in the morning." He says Hrin said: "Dude, get out." When he tried getting back into the bedroom, he couldn't because the door was being blocked.
Police spoke with a girl who reported she had observed the 15-year-old girl at the party -- saying she had two beers and four or five shots of vodka in a relatively short time. This girl told police the 15-year-old girl vomited in the kitchen, and continued to vomit in the bathroom. This girl told police she and a boy stayed upstairs to take care of the girl.
The girl told police she heard some talk that the 15-year-old boy wanted to have sex with the 15-year-old girl, but he was apparently concerned about her level of intoxication. The girl told police based on her level of intoxication, she didn't believe the 15-year-old girl could have consented to sex.
Police took a look at messages on Twitter between the Hrin and the 15-year-old boy the day after the party. Both boys admit to sexually assaulting the girl -- with the 15-year-old boy reportedly saying: "She deserves it for puking on my gloves and my flannel."
Hrin will be in court for his preliminary hearing next Thursday, March 12th.
