RACINE COUNTY (WITI) -- A Mount Pleasant man has been charged with invasion of privacy and disorderly conduct following an incident at the Kohl's store on Washington Avenue in Mount Pleasant on Friday, February 13th.
Bryan Miller
40-year-old Bryan Miller, a man with a lengthy criminal history is the accused in this case.
Police were called out to the Kohl's store around 2:00 p.m. on Friday, where they spoke with a woman who reported she was shopping and proceeded to the fitting rooms in the women's department to try on some clothes. The woman reported that while she was putting on a pair of pants, she observed a hand holding a mirror that was extended underneath the door and into the fitting room.
The woman opened the door and yelled that she was an off-duty law enforcement officer, according to the complaint. The suspect, later identified as Bryan Miller fled the store.
Police spoke with a cashier who reported Miller was smiling as he ran from the store.
Police say because Miller had a similar incident in the past, and because he lived near the store and matched the general description of the suspect in this case, they created a photo array. The cashier was able to identify Miller.
A Kohl's Loss Prevention officer told police Kohl's has had previous similar incidents involving Miller -- saying he returns to Kohl's approximately once every month or two, and that he's been chased out of the store several times for these incidents.
Police learned Miller was involved in a similar incident where he had allegedly used a mirror to view a woman at a local tanning salon. They also learned Miller was on Department of Corrections supervision at the time of the Kohl's incident.
Miller confessed to the incident at Kohls, according to police.
