Clincy found guilty of robbing Assistant District Attorney

Kenyatta Clincy

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A Milwaukee County jury returned a verdict of guilty on Friday, October 4th in the trial of Kenyatta Clincy of Milwaukee. He was charged with Robbery While Armed with an article that the victim reasonably believes is a dangerous weapon, a Class C Felony.

Clincy robbed an Assistant District Attorney on March 25th in front of her home with a shiny metal object that the victim believed was a gun. Clincy escaped the scene by jumping into a getaway car driven by a co-defendant.

Less than three hours later, Clincy was found speeding at more than double the speed limit in the same car that was used in the robbery, wearing the same clothing that he wore during the robbery, and in possession of a shiny metal implement positioned at his feet directly beneath the steering wheel. The shiny metal implement was a lug wrench that has a shape similar to that of a gun.

Clincy is set to be sentenced in November.  He faces up to 40 years in prison plus $100,000 in fines.
