3 in custody suspected of robbing Tri City Bank in South Milwaukee

SOUTH MILWAUKEE -- A bank robbery in South Milwaukee ends with three people arrested. Officials say the robbery took place at the Tri City Bank on 10th Ave. on Friday, March 10th.

Officials say one subject went into the bank around 11:00 a.m. and walked up to the teller window. He demanded money and fled the scene in a vehicle.

"A number of sirens flying past our house. We got up to look out and we seen them chasing them," said Stefanie Crier, lives in Bay View.

"I just live down the block here on Delaware and I just seen the cops flying past my house," said a neighbor in the area.

Stefanie Crier and some other neighbors stopped to take a look.

"It happens anywhere, you know anything can happen anywhere, I'm just glad the officers are right there to respond and keep us safe," said Crier.

Police say the suspect in the fleeing vehicle ended up crashing into the sidewalk near Delaware and Pryor. Police took three people into custody.

Meantime, Crier located a five dollar bill near where she witnessed the fleeing vehicle.

"That's when I came back because I'm giving it back to them, it's got serial numbers, I'm not getting in trouble," said Crier.

Thinking it was stolen from the bank, Crier gave it to police and walked home -- hoping the thieves stay off her street and out of her neighborhood.

Officials say no one at the bank was injured. The amount of money that was taken is unknown at this time.

Charges are pending for all three suspects.

No other details have been released.
