DODGE COUNTY (WITI) -- Dodge County Sheriff's officials say Flight for Life had to transfer a man to a hospital in Madison following a crash involving three vehicles that occurred on Tuesday, June 24th just before 7:00 a.m.
It happened on State Highway 33, west of Sunset Road in the Town of Oak Grove.
Dodge County Sheriff's officials say a westbound vehicle driven by a 19-year-old woman from Mayville, identified as Natalie Stoeckel, crossed the center line and side-swiped an eastbound vehicle.
The eastbound vehicle was driven by a 27-year-old woman from Beaver Dam, identified as Amy Lanphier, who was not injured.
Sheriff's officials say the westbound vehicle then struck another eastbound vehicle -- driven by a 31-year-old man from Beaver Dam, identified as Jesse Beske.
This collision was nearly head-on, and severely damaged both vehicles.
Both drivers were injured and pinned in their vehicles and were transported to Beaver Dam Community Hospital after being extracted.
The man was later transferred to UW Hospital in Madison by Flight for Life.
Sheriff's officials say inattentive driving is believed to be a contributing factor. Weather conditions were dense fog at the time of the crash.
The crash is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.
