County Board overrides Abele's veto reducing his office's budget to 2011 levels
MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Board on Monday, November 14th over-rode a veto by Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele.
Abele tried to veto a provision in the budget that would reduce his office's budget to 2011 levels.
The County Board voted 12-5 to override that veto.
In a statement, Milwaukee County Board Chairman Theo Lipscomb said Abele should "keep his promise and help shoulder the burden of Milwaukee County's budget gap."
