Crews out beginning at 5:00 a.m. to work roads in Sheboygan area
SHEBOYGAN (WITI) -- FOX6's Tami Hughes was in the Sheboygan and Port Washington area as the snow fell on Thursday, February 7th. Crews were out beginning at 5:00 a.m. preparing the roads for the snowfall.
FOX6's Tami Hughes reported visibility was diminished on I-43 North as the snow fell on Thursday. Roads were slushy, but I-43 was snow-covered.
Drivers reported they saw plowing and salting crews on the roads, though FOX6 observed spinouts on I-43 near Sheboygan. Drivers reported roads were noticeably worse heading north of Milwaukee.
Sheboygan Public Works officials told FOX6 News crews are tired due to several smaller snow events this week.

"This week has been unique to to the clipper systems that didn't drop much snow, but enough to make things slippery, and we had to have crews respond. This is our fourth operation in five days," Sheboygan Public Works Director David Biedel said.
Drivers are encouraged to give plow drivers and salt truck drivers space, and be patient.
