Deputies secure "combative" patient at Froedtert Hospital; suffer bumps, bruises

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Two Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputies suffered bumps and bruises on Wednesday, May 20th in their attempt to restrain a patient who was becoming combative at Froedtert Hospital.

A Sheriff's Office spokeswoman tells FOX6 News the deputies were called to the hospital between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. and secured the patient a short time later.

The patient was brought in by another agency for medical clearance -- before being taken to a mental health facility.
