Developing: Police investigate two separate shootings in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating two separate shootings that happened on Thursday, June 11th.

The first shooting Milwaukee police are investigating happened in the 2500 block of N. 56th St. at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Police say a 56-year-old man was shot but sustained a non-life threatening injury and is being treated at an area hospital.

The shooting occurred after the suspect and victim had a verbal dispute; the victim and suspect are acquaintances, according to authorities.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing as police are attempting to positively identify and arrest the suspect.

The second  shooting occurred in the 4900 block of N. 19th Place at approximately 6 p.m. Thursday evening.

Police say the victim, a 53-year-old man, sustained a non-life threatening injury and is being treated at an area hospital.

The shooting occurred as a result of an ongoing dispute.

Authorities say there are no suspects in custody.
