DHS: 727 new positive cases of COVID-19 in WI, 1,146 deaths statewide

MADISON - The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin rose by 727 Thursday, Sept. 3, officials with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported, for a total of 77,856.
There have been 1,146 deaths in the state, with four new deaths reported Thursday.
Of the positive cases, 5,946 have required hospitalization (7.6%), while 69,299 have recovered (89%), making for 7,393 active cases (9.5%).
Nearly 1.2 million have tested negative. More than 1.2 million have been tested.
