MILWAUKEE -- A neighborhood on Milwaukee's south side was on placed on lockdown late Friday night and into Saturday morning.
Several FOX6 viewers called and said it appeared to be a tactical situation. Witnesses tell FOX6 they heard anywhere from eight to 12 gunshots. Minutes later, Milwaukee police and the SWAT team showed up at the house with officers in riot gear.
According to police, three people were taken into custody. They say it started as a dispute between neighbors, but wouldn't comment any further.
The situation began shortly after 10 p.m. Friday near 25th and Legion St.
Negotiators spoke to the gunman over a loud speaker and at some point several people eventually came out of the house.
The situation ended shortly after 12:15 a.m. Saturday and nobody was hurt in the incident.
