Dodge Co. officials identify motorcycle crash victim

TOWN OF ASHIPPUN (AP) -- Dodge County authorities have identified the motorcycle driver who died this week after he lost control on a sweeping left-hand curve.

The sheriff's department identified the man Friday as 55-year-old Steven Chapman of Menomonee Falls.

Deputies say Chapman was alone on the motorcycle when he was driving early Sunday morning near the Town of Ashippun.

Investigators say he was trying to negotiate the left turn when the motorcycle went onto the shoulder. He tried to recover but the motorcycle overturned and he was thrown from the vehicle.
