Dodge County crash; driver collides with semi, 1 seriously injured

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. - One person was seriously injured following a crash in Dodge County on Wednesday, Jan. 22. It happened shortly before 8 p.m. on US Highway 151 south of State Highway 73 in the township of Elba.
What we know:
Preliminary investigation showed that a GMC Envoy was traveling southbound on US Highway 151 when it lost control and slid through the median and into the northbound lanes of traffic on US Highway 151.
A 2022 Freightliner semi tractor trailer was traveling north on US Highway 151 and collided with the GMC Envoy.
The driver and sole occupant of the GMC Envoy, a 45-year-old man from Deerfield, Wisconsin, was ejected from the vehicle and received serious life-threatening injuries. He was transported from the scene by Lifestar EMS to UW Madison Hospital.

The driver and sole occupant of the Freightliner, a 46-year-old man from Bondurant, Iowa, was uninjured as a result of the crash and was later released at the scene.
