MILWAUKEE — Everyone has bills to pay and sometimes it can be tough to keep track of them all, but there easy ways to help manage your money with your smartphone.
There are several apps that can help monitor spending and help you avoid any financial surprises.
First, you can check out Level Money.
The app works with your bank accounts to calculate how much money your earn what you pay for your regular bills. The app will, also, keep track of where you're spending your money. So, at any given moment, you can open the app and know just how much money you have to spend.
Another options is Mint.
Mint is a personal finance tool that will gather all your financial information into once place. The
app gives you quick access to how much money you have and breaks down what you are spending and where. If you want, you can set up financial goals and the app will alert you if you're overspending.
Finally, you can check out Truebill.
The app scans and monitors your financial accounts to find recurring payments and subscriptions for things like Netflix, your insurance or your phone bill. Truebill tells you how much you're spending on each of those payments and even gives you a grand total to let you know how much you're spending. If there's a price increase or a recurring payment added to your account, Truebill will alert you. An added bonus with Truebill is that if you want to cancel a subscription or a membership, it will do it for you — even the tough ones like gym memberships.
"You can cancel what you don't want with just a couple of clicks, which is pretty cool because no one likes waiting on hold and through a five button dial menu just to get a real person…So, with gyms, what we do is actually generate a certified letter that gets mailed out to the gym, which we're able to do in an automated way, but for a normal person that would take an hour," explained Yahya Mokhtarzada, the CEO and founder of Truebill.
Truebill, Mint and Level Money are all free.
