Drivers, exercise caution! Wintry mix makes for messy morning commute

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Early morning snowfall is creating poor driving conditions for motorists during their morning commute.

Low pressure tracking from Nebraska through central Wisconsin will bring a burst of heavy, wet snow to south central and southeast Wisconsin Tuesday morning. The snow will quickly spread into the area between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. and taper off Tuesday afternoon.

Snow will likely transition to a mix of sleet, freezing rain and rain in southeast Wisconsin from mid Tuesday morning through the mid afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
