Drought conditions improving in Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE — The latest U.S. Drought Monitor report released Thursday, August 23rd shows progress is being made in Wisconsin as it relates to drought conditions.

With moderate rain falling in the last week or so, the extreme drought line has been pushed south. The moderate drought area has grown because of the improving conditions.

Racine, Kenosha and Walworth Counties are now suffering between severe and extreme drought. The rest of the FOX6 News viewing area is now designated as being in the severe or moderate drought area. Those are also improvements.
