DRUG BUST: DEA, Ozaukee Co. Sheriff's officials, Mequon PD execute search & arrest warrant in Mequon

MEQUON (WITI) -- A drug bust occurred early Wednesday morning, January 14th in Mequon, and we're told more than one person was arrested.

The DEA, with assistance from the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office's Metro Special Response Team and the Mequon Police Department executed the search and arrest warrant at a farmhouse being rented as a single-family home on Port Washington Road -- between Bonniewell Road and Pioneer Road around 6:00 a.m.

Ozaukee County Sheriff's officials say more than one person was arrested, and "several" vehicles and a tow truck were removed from the property.

An Ozaukee County Sheriff's sergeant tells FOX6 News he believes heroin, cocaine, marijuana and firearms were seized from the home.

We're told a major concern as law enforcement officials headed to the home were "guard dogs" inside the home -- but no one was injured.

No further details have yet been released -- including exactly how many people were taken into custody, and exactly what was seized from the home.
