Early morning fire damages apartment near 17th & Keefe

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Crews responded to the scene of an apartment fire near 17th and Keefe early Thursday morning, January 9th.

According to officials, the fire broke out in an eight-unit apartment building around 3:23 a.m.

Authorities say fire crews were able to confine the blaze to one unit. That unit sustained an estimated $275,000 in damage.

Officials say no injuries were sustained as a result of the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
