Elderly man accused of running shoplifting ring is sentenced

WAUKESHA (WITI) -- A Waukesha man accused of running a shoplifting ring has been sentenced to six years probation.

77-year-old Raymond Hatch faced multiple felony charges of retail theft.

Investigators say thieves stole more than $1,500 worth of whitening strips from a Target store in Waukesha.

Police say those suspects then sold them to Hatch, who resold the items online.

As part of the sentence, Hatch cannot go inside any Walgreens or Target store.
