Elderly woman dies at hospital after she was found without a pulse, not breathing at Pewaukee Lake
PEWAUKEE -- The Pewaukee Fire Department was called out to Pewaukee Lake on Wednesday afternoon, August 12th for a 76-year-old Waukesha woman who did not have a pulse and was not breathing. On Thursday, FOX6 News learned the woman has died.
The woman has been identified as Edith Esbensen of Waukesha.
Lifeguards observed the woman in the water and noted that she appeared be fine. Lifeguards later checked and saw the woman floating in the water. The woman was taken out of the water, and lifeguards were performing CPR on her when firefighters arrived on scene.
The woman was taken to the hospital, and when she was transported, she had a pulse, but she was not breathing.
The call for this incident came in at 3:35 p.m.
An autopsy is set for Friday, August 14th.
