Equipment failure: Power restored to more than 9,000 We Energies customers

ST. FRANCIS -- Power was restored to more than 9,000 We Energies customers Monday, March 28th following an equipment failure that caused the massive outage.

As of 7:00 a.m., fewer than 200 We Energies customers in the St. Francis and Bay View areas were without power.

According to We Energies, the outage was first reported shortly before 3:00 a.m. and initially affected more than 9,000 customers. It appears to have been due to equipment issues.

Again -- power has been restored to all customers.
