Equipment problem: Power restored to 3,500 We Energies customers in Racine Co.

RACINE COUNTY -- Thousands of people on Tuesday evening, April 26th were without power in the Sturtevant/Mount Pleasant area in Racine County. Power was restored by 8:30 p.m.

The We Energies Power Outage Map was showing 3,500 customers without power due to an outage that began around 6:30 p.m.

The map indicates the outage was a result of an equipment problem.

A We Energies spokesman told FOX6 News there was damage to a pole, that may have been caused by storms that pushed through on Monday.

Power was restored to all customers by 8:30 p.m.
