Evers to deliver annual State of Education speech in Capitol
MADISON — Wisconsin schools Superintendent Tony Evers is set to deliver his annual State of Education speech this week.
Evers is scheduled to give the address on Thursday in the state Capitol in Madison. State Department of Public Instruction officials haven't released any details about what he may focus on in the speech and didn't immediately respond to an email message on Tuesday.
Following the speech Evers plans to present a number of awards, including recognizing Sarah Breckley of Reedsburg Area High School, Pamela Gresser of Rothschild Elementary School, Chris Gleason of Patrick Marsh Middle School in Sun Prairie and Barbara VanDoorn of Lake Holcombe School as2016-17 teachers of the year.
