MILWAUKEE -- Five months after a murder in Milwaukee, the family of a man gunned down just blocks from his home are hoping a reward can help solve this crime.
Ules Burks
35-year-old Ules Burks left for the store on June 29th. He was killed before he made it there.
His family, seeking closure, is now offering up a $5,000 reward in the case.
"It`s been very hard to wake up every morning and not see my brother. Not to get the phone calls," Carmalethia Craigs said. "I try to remain strong for my family because I am the strong one."

Burks was shot and killed around 9:00 a.m. near 44th and Clarke.
"He was walking to the store with another young man. I got a call around 9:15, 9:20 telling me one of my neighbors found my brother laying in the street," Craigs said.
The crime scene was near a school, and surrounded by homes, but no one was ever arrested in this case.
"We don`t know what to do. We don`t know who we`re looking for. We don`t know if they know us. We don`t know what is the motive behind him being murdered," Craigs said.
Craigs is hoping that changes.

She and her family are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in Burk's case.
"With this reward, I`m hoping someone finds it in their heart, not for the money, but for the right thing to do, to bring justice to our family," Craigs said.

"My job won`t be done until I bring his killer to justice," Craigs said.
Craigs says she worked long hours in an effort to come up with the reward money.
Anyone with information that could help police in this case is asked to give them a call.
