Family of missing teen offering $1,000 reward for information
WAUKESHA CO. -- The family of 17-year-old Sarah Ford is offering a $1,000 reward for information on her whereabouts. Ford lives in the Town of Genesee. She was last seen Monday afternoon, July 2nd in the city of Waukesha, on a bridge near Saint Paul Avenue and Moreland Boulevard.
Family members are concerned that she may not be able to care for herself. The girl's father spoke with FOX6 News on the Fourth of July, and says the girl has a disability.
The girl's family is also concerned that as far as they know, she has no money and is alone in record-setting heat.
"Sarah is developmentally disabled. My hope is that someone recognizes her and calls the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office. My family is very concerned that she may be unable to care for herself," Mauger said.
Ford is described as 5’8" tall, weighing 165 pounds with brown hair and brown/hazel eyes. She was last wearing a blue sweatshirt and pink sweat pants. She may now be wearing a red t-shirt with blue and pink hearts and red sweat pants.
Sarah has no contacts in the area. All suggested places where she could be have been checked with negative results.
"My hope is that someone recognizes her," Ford's father, Cory Mauger said.
The girl's family has posted flyers throughout the downtown Waukesha area.
Mauger says his daughter has no friends.
Mauger had this message for his daughter on the Fourth of July:
"Sarah if you hear or see this message please call home. We are terribly worried. We all love you very much and want to make sure that you are safe," Mauger said.
Anyone with information on Sarah’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office at (262)548-7122.
