MILWAUKEE - Two Milwaukee men were arrested after a Milwaukee woman was fatally shot Thursday morning, Jan. 13 near Farwell and Albion on the city's east side. The victim, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene around 2:30 a.m. as a result of a single gunshot wound. Neighbors were stunned to hear the news.
According to police, this was not a domestic violence incident, but they're investigating what led to the gunfire.
"I saw a bunch of lights outside the window, so I came to the front there," said Nathan Harman, neighbor. "Four to five cop cars with caution tape."
Neighbors say this area is relatively calm.
"I’ve lived here for a year and a half," said Harman. "I’ve never had an issue, so this is kind of shocking."

The men arrested are 35 and 52. They are expected to face charges in connection with the shooting.
According to MPD's data, the last four of six homicide victims in the city were women.
"I was not expecting it would be a homicide at all," said Harman.
At last, check the medical examiner was still working to locate the victim’s family, so her identity has not been released.
