Farwell & Lafayette shooting: Woman critically injured, 1 dead
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened on the city's east side Saturday, June 12.
Police said the shooting happened near Farwell and Lafayette around 6:15 p.m. The victim, a 21-year-old Milwaukee woman, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The circumstances that led to the shooting remain under investigation.
Police said the suspect, a 25-year-old Milwaukee man, sustained a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene.
