Fatal crash: Motorcyclist killed after colliding with SUV near 60th & Capitol

MILWAUKEE -- Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred early Friday morning, September 4th. It happened near 60th and Capitol around 2:30 a.m.

Police say a 26-year-old Milwaukee man was driving his motorcycle southbound on N. 60th Street when the crash occurred.

The preliminary investigation indicates the motorcyclist disregarded a red traffic signal and struck an SUV as it traveled eastbound on W. Capitol Drive through the intersection.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

The driver of the SUV, a 46-year-old woman, was not injured.

Milwaukee police continue their investigation.
