Fatal shooting: Two shot during apparent drug transaction, one died at the scene

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say two men were shot early Wednesday morning, June 18th -- and one of them died at the scene.

It happened shortly after midnight in the 2400 block of N. Palmer Street.

Police say a 25-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were shot during an apparent drug transaction.

The 25-year-old man died at the scene. Police have identified the victim as Marshall Cruz.

The 18-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. He has since been released.

Police do not have anyone in custody.
