Fatal wreck: Motorcyclist killed after striking deer on CTH C in Dodge County

DODGE COUNTY -- The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal motorcycle vs.  deer crash on CTH C west of USH 151 in the Township of Trenton late Sunday night, September 18th.

A preliminary investigation shows that a 52-year-old man was operating a motorcycle east on CTH C near USH 151. The motorcycle struck a deer that was crossing the roadway.

The motorcycle's operator,  identified as Charles Thompson of Reeseville, was thrown from the motorcycle and died from injuries sustained in the crash. He was not wearing a helmet.There were no other passengers on the motorcycle.

Assisting at the scene was:  Beaver Dam EMS, Beaver Dam Fire, Dodge County Emergency Response Team, and The Dodge County Medical Examiner.
